autofilou is an Austrian motoring site: test drives and long-term reviews of cars and motorbikes, written by a small team of journalists, plus news and a model database organised by brand.

Editorially it’s a publication; structurally it’s a database with articles attached. Every vehicle exists as data as well as prose, which is what makes the comparison tool possible — up to five vehicles side by side — and what keeps the brand and model listings from being maintained by hand as the archive keeps growing.

Custom theme on the Roots stack, Bedrock and Sage. Built in 2019 and maintained since, which for a site with an archive this size mostly means keeping the old articles working while the newer ones change shape.
