YoungCrowd

YoungCrowd was a pilot in the ministry’s Responsible Citizen Science programme, run by the Austrian Red Cross: from May to September 2017, teachers could take part in research projects with their classes, and teenagers could sign up on their own.

That put the sign-up at the centre of the site rather than at the end of it. One form registered participants directly into the internal database the project was run from. A second collected its entries for export as XLS or CSV — unglamorous, but it’s what the people organising a pilot actually work in once a few hundred registrations have come in.
